Colorado

We took a deep breath of Colorado air last week and stretched out our sea legs in the succulence of home. We didn't bring our camera with us, so you won't see pictures of the beautiful people and loving families who helped me move out of my classroom (thank you, thank you), or of Katie and Brian's new gorgeous house in Colorado Springs and the delicious evening we shared, or of trips to Denver (and a slumber party without Calvin!) and a rainy day with Maggie. But here are my mom's pictures of our season-shifting, snowy, rainy, tulip blooming, occasionally sunny trip home.

Swimming Suit and Scrubs

Nevis to St. Kitts Channel Swim

We did it (again)! With a 6 foot swell and 20 mile per hour winds, the swim was a very bumpy 2.5 mile crossing. But the rainy skies cleared to sunshine, three gigantic turtles came like floating ballerinas and greeted me in the middle, and an enormous spotted eagle ray was there at the end to cheer me in. A beautiful adventure indeed.
