More March Pictures

Visit from a gecko

Grazing on the side of the road

A 20 foot swell came to the island last week. The waves were so big they were unsurfable.

Our swim team wrists with black pearls for open ocean protection.

Happy Easter!

Babies and Bubbles

Something delicious:
A little baby's body all clean and bubbly, slippery, smiling and splashing in a tub.

One tiny and wonderful joy.

Some snaps of our isle

On a drive home from school

Ross University's campus begins at the white fence. Campus is on a cliff looking out to sea where one can see for miles nothing but pure blue.

Buildings are painted with fancy colors. I wish our home in Boulder could be pink and turquoise, yellow shutters and purple trim. It livens things to look at streets full of such color.

Roundabouts are in place of stop signs and stop lights. This one still dons Christmas decorations. Andrew and I have bets on those staying up until the middle of May (click on the pic for a closer look at Kittitian style).
It's a silly island.

Monkeys, Surf, and Sitting Up

Monkeys on this island play in the streets like squirrels.

After school surf session

on Friday at sunset.

A glimpse of Frigate Bay~
(Our villa is right in the middle of this photo)

On the left is Atlantic and the right is Caribbean. This winding pot-holed road takes us to turquoise turtle beaches.

First taste

Banana was a little sweet, a little mushy, a little too pink for Calvin's first tasting taste buds.

Colorado Christmas

We traveled from St. Kitts to Miami to Ft. Collins to Boulder to Ft. Collins to Boulder to Ft. Collins to Grand Lake to Ft. Collins to Estes Park to Vail (with a little trip to Cincinnati in there) to Ft. Collins to Miami and back to St. Kitts in three snowy wonderland weeks. Calvin experienced snow and Swede, ski lodges and Santa. He went to a wedding and flew on 5 airplanes. We lost our bags and found our bags, had tea with friends and read Olivia at night. There was a snow cave, steep long hills for sledding, moguls for skiing, and chocolate for drinking. There were delicious family dinners by fireplaces crackling hot. It was a white and wonderful Christmas break, and when our busy holiday travels were complete, we arrived to our island with an unexpected feeling of peace, tranquility and home.

Sweet Swede

It was a dream to be home where all things were familiar and safe, family and love.
